TV isn’t complicated, right? It’s been around forever, everybody understands it, and the basic idea hasn’t changed at all: take a news report, a sitcom, a sports event, a movie, or whatever else you can think of, and bring it to screens all across the nation; or even the world!
So why, after nearly a century of television, do we still have TV services that are full of glitches? Why do most of us still get our TV service from one of the “big guys”.
Why are we still paying so much for TV?

How can something be simple, yet powerful? With thoughtful design and an unwavering commitment to quality of experience. For example:
Our TV Guide shows you only the channels you’re subscribed to, and it’s full of helpful info, including notifications on which episodes are new, so you know exactly what you’re watching.
Our Cloud PVR is smart enough to know which episodes are the new ones. It works seamlessly with our TV Guide to automatically schedule your recordings.
Our Restart TV is super easy: when you tune to a program in progress, KWIC TV asks you if you want to go back to the beginning of the program. Simple!
Our Catch-up TV is built right into the TV Guide. Previously aired programs have a handy icon on them to let you know that you can re-watch. Just click a past program in the guide, and click “Watch”. That’s it!
We’re not okay with apologizing every other week for this issue, or that error. We don’t sign our emails with “sorry for the inconvenience”. Your invoice doesn’t say “thank you for your understanding”. That’s because we understand the beauty of TV: it works. No apologies or excuses needed.
It’s TV – turn it on, and start watching.
Everyone thought that streaming services would be the end of TV. That didn’t quite happen, but we understand – when it costs a hundred dollars (or more) per month just to watch the news and maybe catch a game or a movie now and then, it’s hard to justify having TV.
But what if TV was priced fairly, for once? Well, now you’ve got something. News, sports, movies, and the latest shows all in one place. At the right price, that is a winning combination.
So we put the right price on it.
When we sat down to design KWIC TV for the first time, we knew we had to answer these questions. Here’s what it came down to:
The big guys have a head-start on new providers. You’ve been with them for years. They’re familiar, and change is difficult. Plus, some of the new TV services out there are not quite ready for prime-time, if you know what we mean.
We knew what we had to do. We had to make a product that would deliver on features and reliability without breaking the bank. After all service that’s low-cost but full of glitches won’t fly. Neither will a service that works beautifully … but costs hundreds of dollars every month. It has to be just right.
We get to this just right by focusing on what’s important to TV users.
It needs to be simple: menus within menus, complicated “features” that are just cover-ups for bad design, and a remote that requires a math degree to decipher – sound familiar?
We put simplicity at the forefront of KWIC TV, and it shows.
Crisp, clear picture that fills up the biggest TVs and puts you right in the middle of the action. 60 frames per second for smooth, detailed sports. No more SD channels – it’s 2021, right?
Power and beauty, all in one. Access a huge library of apps, including Netflix, Youtube, Disney Plus, Amazon Prime and more! WiFi-ready for maximum flexibility.
50 hours included with your subscription, and more hours available if you need them. Go ahead: hit the record button.
What do you do when life gets in the way and you can’t catch that new episode tonight? Just watch it tomorrow, with Time-shift TV!
Running late and missed the first part of the show? Not anymore. Time is no match for Restart TV!
KWIC TV has a simple, intuitive design that gets out of the way and lets you experience TV as it should be. If you like super complicated menus and hard-to-use controls, we apologize in advance.
KWIC TV is next-generation entertainment, delivering your favourite TV channels to your home using your existing internet connection
KWIC TV requires a set-top box. For now, that is the only way to watch KWIC TV.
Right now we only support our set-top box, but we’re working hard to bring support for Android and iOS devices, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, and more!
KWIC TV supports a maximum of 5 devices at a time.
Absolutely! You can use our Cloud PVR to schedule recordings, or use the features in the TV Guide to restart or rewatch recently aired programs (on permitted channels).
Yes! As long as it’s permitted by the licencing agreement of the channel, you can pause and rewind to your heart’s content.
Yes it does. Broadcasting regulations in Canada require that IPTV providers deliver their services over their own network, which means you must have a KWIC Internet connection in order to subscribe to KWIC TV.
